ENG In the last month of this cycling adventure, it was time to do some prepping for the future and try out another way of touring. (Very unlike me, I should have just bought a kayak and left on a 3-month trip with it, figuring it out on the way.) However, this opportunity was too good to let go, so with fellow cycle tourer, Linda Baer and photo and travel enthusiast, Matthieu Leroux, we have rented kayaks and went exploring the Abel Tasman National Park. We had three days of perfect sunshine and just enough wind to give us some excitement every once in a while. (The fact that you can only see calm seas on our recordings show excited we actually got with the waves. There was no way we could get out the GoPro while battling with the elements. :)

I’m ever so happy with the outcome of the kayak testing. Now I have a general idea of how much and what to pack… most importantly, I never again go without white pepper and white wine for the mussels.

 
HUN Három nap gondtalan evezés a déli sziget északi partjainál. Ragyogó napsütés és épp csak annyi szél jutott nekünk, hogy néha izgulhassunk kicsit. (Ilyenkor viszont annyira izgultunk, hogy a GoPrót eszünkbe sem jutott elővenni, így ti csak a sima tengert látjátok. :)

Túratársaim bringás cimbinőm, Linda és új-zélandi utazópartnerem, Matthieu lettek. Kettejüknek köszönhető a két finom kagyló-vacsora, ami az ő szakértelmük eredménye. Magamtól biztos nem tudtam volna, hogy ez ilyen egyszerű. Legközelebbre viszont mindenképp kerül a túrakajakba fehérbors és egy-két üveg fehérbor. :)
